Pak Suzuki ordered to replace vehicle

I was browsing some old news and i found One of the news that really shocked me, thinking that still justice can happen in a country full of corruption, where the president is the head of corruption and every party working in the government, like Mqm is having corruption cases against them.

From Dawn of Sunday 23 March, 2008

LAHORE, Mar 22: Consumer court presiding officer Syed Maruf Ahmed Ali has ordered a carmaker and its dealer to replace the petitioner's vehicle and also pay a sum of Rs10,000 as cost.

Petitioner Imran Babar said he purchased a Cultus car from Suzuki Motor House, an authorised dealer of Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited, against a purchase order of Rs595,000 issued by a bank. He added the dealer charged him Rs5,000 ex tra for the car's cool beige colour, Rs12,500 as registration fee and Rs22,000 for immediate delivery.

The petitioner said the car was originally booked and released in the name of Mohammad Qasim through the dealer. He added the car also had some workmanship defects.

He said he had sent a legal notice to the dealer under Section 28 of the Punjab Consumer Protection Act but he did not respond.

The dealer filed a written reply in response to the charges raised in the petition. The court, after going through the record, said it was proved that the dealer delivered a used car to the petitioner.

The petitioner had paid the purchase amount for a brand new car and has prayed that this car be replaced. The court ordered both the dealer and the company to replace the vehicle with a new one.

The court also ordered the dealer to refund Rs22,000 the petitioner paid for getting the car immediately. The court also asked both the dealer and the company to pay Rs10,000 to the petitioner as cost within 10 days.

I still wonder, is that really a truth ?

Down Slap in Malaysian petroleum Prices

Down Slap in Malaysian petroleum Prices

While the prices are increasing in every other country due to a recent price hike but it seems everything is coming back slowly to where it was and The Malaysian Government have managed to reduce the prices of it's petroleum sector.

In a given statment, it was said that it is reduced by RM0.10 per liter across the board for all three types of fuel.

Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Shahrir Samad said the government could only manage a RM0.10 reduction because although crude oil prices have dropped, the ringgit has depreciated against the US dollar.

He added that according to calculations the government could only reduce prices by RM0.07 sen but decided to increase subsidy by another RM0.03 sen to make it a total of a RM0.10 price reduction. It would be interesting to see how this is calculated.

So the new Prices are

Fuel Old Price Reduction New Price
RON97 RM2.55 RM0.10 RM2.45
RON92 RM2.40 RM0.10 RM2.30
Diesel RM2.50 RM0.10 RM2.40

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Police Edition.

Muitsubishi, a well known player in the automobile industry today launched a special Lancer Evolution X Police Edition, because after all the kid's you are chasing can have it, so why can't you ?. Right now, the company haven't revealed neither some information about it's specification leaked, right now we have only photos. London has been rumored to be testing 2.0-liter diesel Lancers. So maybe we should say "watch out baddies."
The police edition is truly just a copy of Evo X with a light bar. It’s engine is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC MIVEC (likely 300 hp) unit used used in the standard Lancer Evolution X. Another great thing is that the car is also loaded with the Evo X’s S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) vehicle dynamics control system and the newly developed, power-efficient Twin Clutch SST (Sport Shift Transmission).

Wooh! Oil dropping to 50$ on global economic slowdown

Think the price of oil can remain sky-high amid a U.S. recession, a global economic slowdown, and the worst credit market conditions in decades?

Think again.

Oil prices are headed back to $50, according to analyst at an investment firm based in Russia.

Chris Weafer, analyst at Uralsib Capital in Moscow, said the Russian market is projecting that oil prices will plunge to about $50 per barrel, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday. Amid a U.S. recession and a global economic slowdown, oil has fallen about 38% to $91.07 per barrel after hitting a record high of $147.27 per barrel in July.

But again, i do wonder, are they the same analyst's which were predicting 500$ oil per barrel, few months ago ??

New honda city 2009, gained 4500 sales in 2weeks

This seems to be a very interesting news and i'm sure the Honda Thailand will be well satisfied with this great number of sales in such a short period of time of their new honda city 2009.

It seems that V and SV models are the bigger sellers, with 80% of sales distributed between these higher spec models, and the S taking up the other 20%. So, it looks like that people can still do without airbags, ABS, EBD and BA.

Honda at launch, already prepared about 4000 units but beyond their expectations they managed to sell over 4500 units. Further more, Honda have set the target of 35000 Sales a year for the city in Thailand, but as the results are showing, no doubt they can easily achieve this target.
